About Me

Who am I, and why do I have a web page?

A picture of me. I am a California native, a wife, and a mother of two grown children. I am a survivor of childhood sexual and emotional abuse. When I am not at work, some of my time is dedicated to recovery from the effects of that abuse and helping others in their recovery. My faith in God and my Savior, Jesus Christ, plays a very significant role in my recovery. I spend a lot of time "surfing the web" looking for helpful sites for survivors and for information to add to my family tree (one of my hobbies).

What kind of work do I do?

I am Documentation Specialist for a manufacturer of medical diagnostic kits -- specifically for autoimmune and bone diseases. Much of my day is spent writing, editing, or issuing the documents that control our quality system or are used in the manufacturing department. (I love working on my computer).

How do I spend my spare time?

I enjoy doing crafty things like sewing, cross-stitch, needlepoint, crochet; I love doing things on my computer; I like to do jigsaw, crossword, and logic puzzles; I collect Department 56 Dickens Village lighted houses and accessories; and I enjoy just playing -- particularly with my Playstation2 (have you tried Jak and Daxter?).

Check out my ancestry.
I'm an amateur genealogist. My ancestry includes Swiss, German, English, Welsh, Scottish, and Irish. Check out my Genealogy Page, where you will find links to my major family lines.
