Welcome to the Just For Fun bridge game. We hope these guidelines will make your experience enjoyable. Feedback is welcomed.

This is a non-competitive, "just for fun" game (no master points given) to help all of us better learn the lessons we were taught in Frank Smoot's series of bridge classes. The format is "shuffle and deal"*, play, then a post-play discussion of the bidding and play of the hand. You and your table mates decide how long a discussion to have. The majority rules. Each table will play at their own speed and will stay together for the evening unless a rotation is necessary due to a "short table".

*Note: We are currently getting pre-dealt hands with hand records from the Tues. afternoon game.

FOOD

You are welcome to bring food as long as you take responsibility for cleaning up the results (leftovers, crumbs, spills, etc.).

SUPPLIES

We have the use of the bridge club's tables, chairs and bidding cards. We need to provide all other supplies. We'll bring card decks but please bring a deck of cards "just in case". Also, bring any other supplies you might need like paper, pencils, paper plates, napkins, etc.

We are not club directors and don't serve the functions you would expect from directors (like Frank, Lori, Sue, etc). We are making this game possible because we, just like you, want to play bridge. So, please help us minimize our "non-play" time.

We will let you know when it's 9:45 so you can wrap up your hand and help leave the room in good order.
